  • The ports of Antwerp and Rotterdam are accessible via the Moselle, which is canalized to the European gauge (barges of 3,000 tons). Three important river ports are located in Metz, Thionville and Illange. The port of Dillingen in Germany, 25 km away, provides access to the Saar River, which is canalized to European gauge.
